March Meeting Recap

CVS 2003 a huge success!

The 5th annual CVS was a phenomenal success! The APALA partied like the Golden Globes, thanks to a serendipitous last minute venue change to the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton. Chairwoman Paurvi Trivedi and her legion of faithful volunteers turned the International Ballroom into a production resource paradise. On display were the latest technologies in lenticular displays from Dynamic Images and unique presentation materials from C&S Sales.

While the membership commenced on the Scavenger hunt, along the way they were treated to such luscious treats as hand dipped chocolate strawberries from Anderson Printing, elegant gift bag sets from Fraser Papers, insulated commuter mugs from Continental Colorcraft, and light up pens from Creo were just some of the SWAG. Scavenger hunt participants were challenged to find a variety of items among the vendor booths to complete the hunt. Every participant that completed the hunt received a Starbuck’s gift card. The lucky grand prize winner of a Kodak Digital camera was Jenny Allen from DIRECTV. The camera was generously donated by Kodak Polychrome. As the evening closed with coffee and dessert service – for those that hadn’t completely filled up on the coconut shrimp - members had confirmed that they were in a great mood by checking the mood rings passed out by Domtar papers. Another year, another bag of cool stuff!
